Mike is the Owner/Breeder/Managing Partner of Saddleback Stables Thoroughbreds LLC…a breeding and racing facility located in Lebanon, Illinois. Horses campaigned by Saddleback Stables have either won or hit the board, at 19 different racetracks in 11 states. Prior to his current position Mike spent 40+ years in coaching, athletic administration and sports management…in professional soccer and basketball, intercollegiate sports, with Nike and the US Olympic amateur sports movement. Moorecurrently sits on the Bob Emig Foundation Board, is a time-honored member of the St Louis Sports Commission, and serves on several other local committees. He is a graduate of SIUE where he played intercollegiate basketball and soccer…and was inducted into the SIUE Athletics Hall of Fame. Mike’s wife, Maureen, is the Queen and Founder of Saddleback Chocolates in O’Fallon, Illinois. They reside on Saddleback Trail, with 14 horses and their prized pup, Saddleback Annie.
