Rest of Year….Very Interesting

I’m taking an early flight to Chicago tomorrow morning to attend meetings on Monday and Tuesday. It got me thinking of all the things that will be before us in the coming days weeks and months. First, the gaming bill should be on the Governor’s desk by the end of the week. Then he has 60 days to do one of several things. Our thinking is that there will be meetings to address his remaining concerns and hopefully the bill will become law very soon.

There are other things that will have our attention as well. The A.D.W. bill was extended only until January 1. That means that the industry will have to agree on a permanent solution by the time the fall session occurs.

Then there is I-Gaming. This is something that could very well be a big part of the future of horse racing. Rest assured that your horsemen’s groups are working together to assure that we are treated fairly when this new source of revenue becomes reality. As always we will keep everyone posted as we move forward.
